A few days ago, the blasts occurred near to Kandawgyi Lake, where hundreds of people were celebrating the new year festival in Yangon, Myanmar. I have been in there two times.
Before leaving Yangon, I dropped in there on my way airport from hotel to relax and flash back my trip.
I would like to go to Myanmar this year using special holiday(20th anniversary on the job). But I’m anxious about following affairs.
-Growing political instability by a general election that will be held in Myanmar this year.
-Conflicting Thaksin supporter and current government in Bangkok, Thailand.
-I don’t know if I can get vacation as planned.
This photo was taken in Kandawgyi Lake on Dec. 30, 2008. I came across wedding celemony by chance.

A scene you will see several times a day when staying at Inle Lake. Boats are a necessity to these people, who have built houses on the lake and live as a village there. If you take a boat around the waterways, it is like walking down the back streets of a village – you get a glimpse into how closely people’s lives are interwoven with the lake. The villagers warmly smile even at unknown travelers as they pass by.

Fisher mans on the Inlay lake.
